Life is {24 weeks...and 5 days}

Time is flying by.  Between preparing for the baby, work, and trying to keep my head above water with school, I'm not quite sure where the past 24 weeks went.  It's absolutely insane how quickly this pregnancy is going by.  There is a crib and a dresser in our house right now.  That is super strange.  Yes, they are still in the box and have to be put together piece but piece (thanks, Ikea), but Les will get to that...eventually.

School is truly overwhelming as I try to get back into the swing of getting work done and not procrastinating.  I'm in a bit of a panic because I have a core class that I am supposed to take in June.  I'm due in June.  Sure, I could not take it, but then I would get behind my entire cohort.  Word on the street is that getting behind is like the death sentence of any doctoral program.  I am meeting with the teacher this week to see what we can work out.  I have a feeling she'll work with me.  Going into labor mid-class is as good of an excuse as any, I suppose.

Baby size:  Baby F is about about a foot long and weighs just over a pound (whoa).  My app says that the baby will start to "plump up" soon.  I think that's funny. His/her brain is growing quickly now (duh - s/he studies doctoral level work with me every night) and its taste buds are beginning to develop.  Its lungs are developing and everything is continuing to grow strong.

How far along: 24 weeks

Total weight gain: At my monthly appointment last week, I had only gained 4 pounds in a month.  That's great considering I was going into the appointment guessing I was up a strong 10 lbs.  So far, I have gained 19 pounds.  I'm not worried about it because I am not eating any more than I did pre-pregnancy and I feel good.  She wants me to gain 30-35 lbs, so I'm still in good shape.  I keep telling myself that I gained everything really early and from here on out, I'll only gain a couple of pounds a month....right?  ;)

Sleep: Sleep is still really good although I fear a body pillow is needed in the near future as the belly gets bigger.  Luckily, my sis bought me one for my birthday so I already have it at the ready.

Maternity Clothes: For sure.  I love them and I am thinking about permanently making the switch to elastic waistbands.

Food cravings : None

Food aversions: None
Symptoms: I have been very lucky to have a very smooth and easy pregnancy thus far.  I can honestly say that I have enjoyed every minute of it!

Exercise:  No, but I did receive a pre-natal yoga DVD....we shall see if I can find time for that.

Movement: Yes!!  Little Critter is moving around a TON.  We can actually see it move from (tiny kicks) from the outside.  It's truly magical.  And slightly weird at the same time.

Gender: TEAM GREEN! (we're not finding out)

Best moment of the week: Every moment in this life is a great moment!

What I’m looking forward to: Being able to consistently feel the baby move!
